CHARLENE UNGER IS
THE GREAT WHITE SOUL-SINGER.

A bell-like voice that ranges from pop to rock, classics to sambas with the kind of precision that only a handful of entertainers in ourtime have been blessed with.  Charlene has the bird-like qualities of Margaret Whiting, the agility of Mamie Shwartz (unknown), and the power and class of Whitney Houston.

Charlene Unger, the former U.S.O. girl and Berwyn's Bohemian Princess, has outlasted most of her piers. Performance highlights included touring with Bob Hope, appearing as one of the original Golddiggers on The Dean Martin Show, and playing conventions and V.F.W. halls with The Ungertones (comprising herself, her sister, Connie, and their half-sister, Henrietta) in a singing trio rivalling the Andrews Sisters. At the top of her career Charlene gave it all up to start a home and raise her daughter, Francine, in her hometown of Berwyn, Illinois.

Now after twenty years, Charlene is ready to return to the lights and greasepaint we call "showbiz" to once again reclaim her title as "The Great White Soul-Singer."

In the rebirthing of that newest star called Charlene Unger, she has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show as a backup singer/dancer to Cyndi Lauper.  Charlene has hosted a segment for MTV's "Friday Night Street Party."  She has entertained thousands in Chicago at the famous Rhumba restaurant, and of course, her numerous ingenue roles with the Berwyn Community Players.  With Miss Unger's spectacular return to Tinsel Town she has been performing her one woman show "Charlene Unger, the Great White Soul-Singer" as LA's famous Comedy Store.  In addition to Super Duper, Charlene has also co-starred in the star-studded film "Lost in the Pershing Point Hotel," and she is the newest *NSYNC "album-cover" girl!
